Summary of Position

As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer at Starz Entertainment, you will be a key player in developing, implementing, and maintaining our cybersecurity program. You will assist in leading a team of cybersecurity professionals and work closely with other departments to ensure the security of our systems, networks, and data. 

Responsibilities

  • Security architecture: Lead the design and implementation of robust security architecture and solutions for the organization, including firewalls, security information and event management system (SIEM), and encryption technologies.
  • Security leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the cybersecurity team, mentoring junior engineers, and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Security assessment: Perform advanced security assessments, vulnerability management, and penetration testing to identify and remediate complex security vulnerabilities.
  • Incident response: Lead the development of incident response plans, coordinate incident response efforts, and guide post-incident analysis to enhance future prevention.
  • Policy and procedure development: Play a key role in developing and maintaining cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures to align with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Advanced threat analysis: Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and provide advanced threat analysis to proactively address potential security risks.
  • Compliance and auditing: Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards (e. GDPR, NIST) and take a lead role in preparing for and responding to audits.
  • Security strategy: Contribute to the development of the organization's long-term security strategy, including researching and recommending new technologies and best practices.
  • Security training: Develop and deliver advanced cybersecurity training programs for employees, ensuring they are well-informed about the latest threats and security best practices.
  • Documentation and reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of security configurations, incidents, and actions taken, as well as provide in-depth security reports to management.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
  • Significant experience in cybersecurity, with a proven track record of leadership and accomplishments in complex security projects.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, compTIA Security+, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in network security, operating systems, and security technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of security technologies, threat landscape, and risk management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovation and improvement.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience utilizing and managing Firewalls (Palo Alto preferred) 
  • Experience with Industry Standard Security Information Management Systems (Exabeam, Splunk, Sumo Logic, etc.) 
  • Experience with Endpoint protection solutions such as (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Cylance) to perform protection, mitigation and forensic analysis. 
  • Proficiency in Python and/or Power Shell.
  • A proactive, results-oriented mindset and the ability to lead and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Ability to stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies.

Compensation

$109,000 – $172,400
