Required License/Registration/Certification NA Job Summary Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Position in Broadcast News and Sports SCHOOL OF JOURNALISM AND MEDIA College of Communication and Information The award-winning School of Journalism and Media seeks outstanding applicants for Assistant Professor in broadcast news and sports. The successful candidate will teach courses in broadcast journalism and lead, teach, and mentor a team of students to produce award-winning work produced by students in a highly energized TV studio environment in new, state-of-the art facilities. Courses include television news and sports broadcasting, field reporting and videography, and audio news and reporting. A record of teaching experience is required. The start date of this position is August 16, 2025. The successful candidate must hold a master’s degree or higher in a related field and have significant professional experience in broadcast journalism. This position is designed as an Assistant Professor Rank, Special Title Series, Tenure-track, 9-month assignment.
