This role is part of the Supply Chain team and is based at the Restaurant Support Center in Downers Grove, IL.What You'll Do:<ul><li>Develop and execute distribution strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of food, ingredients, equipment, and supplies to all restaurant locations.</li><li>Monitor and optimize inventory levels to minimize waste and maintain product freshness.</li><li>Implement cost-saving initiatives and analyze distribution expenses to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.</li><li>Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and health and safety guidelines in the distribution process.</li><li>Utilize technology, such as inventory management systems and route optimization software, to enhance distribution operations.</li><li>Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted supply.</li><li>Analyze data related to distribution performance, such as delivery times, costs, and inventory turnover, to make data-driven decisions.</li><li>Collaborate with other departments, including procurement, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment in supply chain goals and objectives.</li><li>Continuously seek ways to optimize distribution processes, enhance efficiency, and adapt to changing market conditions.</li><li>Develop and manage the distribution budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.</li><li>Serve as a power user for Cooper's Hawk in Arrowstream and Cooper's Hawk incident management system.</li><li>Support the execution of promotional items by ensuring accurate purchase orders, target inventory levels, and proper redistribution and recovery management.</li><li>Address ad hoc and emergency supply chain demands, including natural disasters, product recalls, supplier shutdowns, etc.</li><li>Establish and manage in-house price and product compliance audit procedures for all distributors.</li><li>Resolve restaurant delivery issues while developing proactive plans to prevent them in the future.</li><li>Develop distributor scorecards and conduct monthly reviews with distributors to improve delivery performance.</li><li>Continuously analyze distribution and FOB alignment to ensure the receipt of the freshest product, in the shortest time, and at the lowest cost.</li><li>Maintain distribution-related documents such as product information forms, distribution rosters, grocery lists, etc.</li><li>Verify that delivery schedules and frequencies meet Cooper's Hawk's business needs and requirements.</li><li>As Cooper's Hawk's volume and density improve, bring inbound freight management in-house where applicable.</li><li>Manage new item setup, sub-approval, and daily maintenance in Crunchtime.</li><li>Support new restaurant openings, ensuring proper inventory levels, service level metrics, delivery schedules, and the establishment of new distribution centers when necessary.</li><li>Assist the Quality Assurance team with samples for ongoing and emergency product evaluations.</li><li>Support cross-functional teams in the product recall process when required.</li></ul>What You'll Need:<ul><li>A minimum of 5 years of relevant distribution experience.</li><li>Familiarity with Arrowstream, Crunchtime, Smartsheets, and mapping software is advantageous.</li><li>Knowledge and understanding of restaurant broadline partners.</li><li>Experience in logistics and freight management is a plus.</li><li>A Bachelor's degree in supply chain or business is advantageous.</li><li>Experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is beneficial.</li><li>Ability to establish priorities and work within deadlines.</li><li>Strong planning, organization, and communication skills.</li><li>A customer service-focused approach when dealing with internal and external partners.</li><li>Strong decision-making skills.</li><li>A self-starter with a willingness to work hands-on.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.</li></ul>Some travel may be required for new restaurant openings, supplier visits, and conferences.Compensation Range:&nbsp;Compensation range is $85,000 - $110,000/year + bonus potential.&nbsp;The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity.What You’ll Get:&nbsp;&nbsp;<ul><li>Incredible Discounts:<ul><li>Monthly Dining Allowance</li><li>50% Dining and Carryout</li><li>40% Retail Wine</li><li>20% Retail and Private Events</li></ul></li><li>Monthly Complimentary Wine Tasting for Two&nbsp;</li><li>Medical, Prescription, Dental, Vision Insurance plus Telemedicine and Wellness Program</li><li>Company Matching 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan</li><li>Flexible Savings Accounts- Health and Dependent Care</li><li>Health Savings Account&nbsp;</li><li>Long-Term Disability;
