The ideal candidate is a problem solver with a proactive mindset, capable of troubleshooting software issues, automating solutions, and contributing to documentation.How You’ll Contribute<ul><li>Ensure data analysis and software executes in an optimal environment and provide timely support and resolutions to issues</li><li>Develop automated solutions to deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot software</li><li>Collaborate with internal software and bioinformatics teams to recommend solutions and improvements</li><li>Facilitate the integration of Ultima software with customer’s sequencing workflow</li><li>Capture and document root cause and lessons learned from issues</li><li>Compile statistics and key metrics for software performance and reliability</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge &amp; Abilities<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an engineering discipline</li><li>2+ years of experience in data or software engineering, operations, and/or support</li><li>Proficiency in shell scripting and at least one high level programming language (e.g. Python) in a Linux environment</li><li>Solid understanding of Linux subsystems and internals</li><li>Experience with software QA, as well as with build, release, and deployment processes</li><li>Experience with cloud computing infrastructure such as AWS, is desirable.</li><li>Excel in collaborating both within and across teams</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li></ul>At Ultima Genomics, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package.
