The ideal candidate will have an established record of distinguished research evidenced by publications in widely recognized top-tier academic journals and be recognized as a leader in Operations and Supply Chain Management - Transportation and Logistics, especially on U.S.-Mexico trade and commerce issues. The faculty member will be appointed at the rank of full professor and is expected to develop collaborative relationships with the faculty and centers within Hunt College and other regional, national, and international entities to enhance the mission of UTEP. Faculty hired into the rank of tenured full professor will be given the additional honorific title of Regent's Distinguished Research Professor; other RREP faculty can earn this title upon promotion to full professor with tenure. Responsibilities include scholarly research and publishing findings in top academic journals, instruction at undergraduate and graduate levels, and participating in the Ph.D. program. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role.
